With the end of January comes the planning of a celebration that many will consider cheesy but that is the perfect excuse to get away, either with the person we love or with a good friend. Valentine’s Day is approaching, we propose five romantic plans to do traveling on the AVE.
Getting around quietly using the high-speed train and enjoying good hotels, capitals and nature in equal parts, with many plans to carry out and with tools that give us a hand. They are waiting for us Barcelona, Granada, Ourense, Toledo and Valencia.
Barcelona always welcomes you with open arms

There is not much left to tell about the Ciudad Condal. Barcelona has a unparalleled offer of hospitality, the perfect place to pamper yourself and stay somewhere five star hotel with that special person. Much to choose from but to name a few we have the Claris, the Majestic, the Sir Victor or the Alma Barcelona.

In search of more than romantic activities, you can stroll through the spectacular modernist complex of Sant Pau, take a tour of the coast in its well-known Golondrinas or even discover the city with a guided bike tour.
The magic of Granada is perfect for love

I don’t think there is anyone who can deny the magic and exoticism of the beautiful city of Granada. Share a room with your boyfriend or girlfriend in an old palace converted into a five-star hotel, such as the Hospes Palacio de los Patos or the Aurea Washington Irving, next to the Alhambra. The perfect place for a love getaway.

You can also opt for a wide variety of activities such as a massage for two in a hamann, a flame show or a typical tapas route. You can also discover the secrets of Sephardic Granada from the hand of your companion.
Ourense is tradition, history and nature

Ourense is a land of wines, the the only Galician province without sea and the gateway to the Ribeira Sacra and its well-known heritage. Why not stay at the Palacio de Sober (which is in the province of Lugo) or the Parador de Santo Estevo? With the newly launched AVE to Ourense it takes only two and a quarter hours to get there from Madrid.

If instead you prefer to stay in the capital of the province, it is the perfect place to enjoy hot baths in its hot springssurrounded by nature and yet leaving the city.
Toledo, the city of three cultures

Toledo is and will be forever the city of three cultures. A melting pot of history through its narrow streets, full of heritage and inherited gastronomy. To spend a few days of disconnection with your partner, you can choose the modernity of the Eugenia de Montijo, in the historic center or, on the contrary, enjoy the tranquility of nature in an authentic cigarral like El Bosque.
An original way to discover the old town and its walls is a balloon flight with views of the Alcántara Bridge, the Alcázar, the Primate Cathedral, the Puerta de la Bisagra and even the route of the Tagus River from the air. An unforgettable experience. The pity is that Puy du Fou will be closed until March, although they already have the precious tickets for the new season on sale.
The modernity of Valencia offers rest and nature

We finished in Valencia, which is already warming up for Fallas 2022 on date and, predictably, with its spirit and celebrations recovered. At the Vincci Palace or the Melia Plaza there is rest and the perfect location to explore the city.
You can choose romantic and different visits such as “Mysteries and Legends to the Moon of Valencia”: a tour of the lesser-known Valencia, full of enigmas and mysterious stories. The “Palacios Valencianos” route takes us into the halls of the Palacio del Marqués de Dos Aguas or the Palacio de los Condes de Cervellón, residence of kings and famous people.

Just 10 kilometers from the city center is the ecological reserve of the Albufera Natural Park, a perfect place to get to know it on a boat ride at sunset.
